Social Sciences Citation Index now available!

The Library now provides access to the much-desired Social Sciences Citation Index (SSCI) 1990 to present, through the Web of Science product by ISI. It is accessed under Articles &  Databases from the Library homepage.
SSCI is a companion to Science Citation Index and is very large,  indexing “2,474 of the world’s leading social sciences journals across 50 disciplines” (ISI).  SSCI includes the very useful citation indexing whereby a seminal article can be searched to see which journal articles (in those 2,744 ISI journals) cited it later. The database can also be searched via keyword and author. When you click into the ISI system, if you choose the Web of Science tab at the top, you’ll see at the bottom of the next page that you can search SSCI alone or in combination with SCI.
