Zoological Record Workshop 2/15/11

The Zoological Record covers the worldwide literature on zoology. Includes indexing of journals, newsletters, conference proceedings, and books. All major divisions of zoology are represented, including taxonomy, physiology, morphology, behavior, ecology, evolution, genetics, communication, habitat, life cycles and development, nutrition, parasitology, and zoogeography.

  • Determine the first appearance of an animal in published literature.
    • Follow research in significant fields such as biodiversity, ecology, conservation, and wildlife preservation.
    • Track changes in the classification and relationships of organisms.
    • Check for new species descriptions
