November FGCU Author Series

Congratulations to Dr. Peter Blaze Corcoran, our 9th honoree in the FGCU Author Series of recently published books authored by FGCU faculty and staff! Edited by Dr. Corcoran,Learning for Sustainability in Times of Accelerating Changewill be featured on the Library homepage during the month of November and will be displayed on a poster on the first floor of Library West in the New Books Area.

Dr. Blaze is a Professor of Environmental Studies and Environmental Education at FGCU, and Director of the Center for Environmental and Sustainability Education. He works extensively in international environmental education, and has a special interest in the South Pacific Island Nations. Dr. Blaze’s current projects include working to advance the research dimensions of the United Nations Decade of Education for Sustainable Development, and working on the Earth Charter in South Africa, with an emphasis on education. He also serves as Senior Fellow in Education for Sustainability at University Leaders for a Sustainable Future in Washington, DC, and is Senior Advisor to Earth Charter International in San Jose, Costa Rica.

Each month a recent book authored by FGCU staff or faculty is selected, presented by an accompanying poster, and featured on the Library’s website. Everyone is encouraged to view the display of our FGCU authors’ recent works. Any of the Author Series books in the Main Collection are available for check out. Authors are encouraged to donate a copy of their book(s) to the Library by contacting their subject specialist.
