Congratulations to Michael Salmond, our 12th honoree in the FGCU Author Series of recently published books authored by FGCU faculty and staff! Mr. Salmond’s book The Fundamentals of Interactive Design will be featured on the Library homepage during the month of February, and displayed on a poster on the first floor of Library West in the New Books Area.
Mr. Salmond is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Visual and Performing Arts at FGCU, where he teaches Digital Media Design, Graphic Design, Video Game Design, and more. He holds an M.F.A. from the University of South Florida. In September of 2011, the FGCU Art Gallery featured his exhibit Passing Through, which reflected his research interests of interactive art and reflections on tourism. The Fundamentals of Interactive Design “provides a core skill set and an invaluable insight into the world of interactive design (AVA Publishing).”
Each month a recent book authored by FGCU staff or faculty is selected, presented by an accompanying poster, and featured on the Library’s website. Everyone is encouraged to view the display of our FGCU authors’ recent works. Any of the Author Series books in the General Collection are available for check out. Authors are encouraged to donate a copy of their book(s) to the Library by contacting their subject specialist.
