Summer 2014 FGCU Author Series

Congratulations to Chad Hautmann, our 15th honoree in the FGCU Author Series of recently published books authored by FGCU faculty and staff! Mr. Hautmann’s novel Magic and Grace will be featured on the Library website during the months of May, June and July and displayed on a poster on the first floor of Library West in the New Books Area.

Mr. Hautmann is a freelance writer and novelist, and an adjunct Instructor of Composition at FGCU. He holds an M.A. in creative writing from Florida State University. His first novel, Billie’s Ghost, was published by Plume in 2004. Magic and Grace, published in 2014 by Fingerpress, is set in Southwest Florida and has been praised by the Fort Myers News-Press as “quirky and funny and heartfelt and rich.” Mr. Hautmann lives in Naples with his wife and two children.

Each month a recent book authored by FGCU staff or faculty is selected, presented by an accompanying poster, and featured on the Library’s website. Everyone is encouraged to view the display of our FGCU authors’ recent works. Any of the Author Series books in the General Collection are available for check out. Authors are encouraged to donate a copy of their book(s) to the Library by contacting their subject specialist.
