Dr. James Brock: October 2015 FGCU Authors Series Honoree

Congratulations to James Brock, our 28th honoree in the FGCU Author Series of recently published books authored or edited by FGCU faculty and staff.  Professor Brock’s book, Gods & Money, will be featured on the Library website during the month of October and displayed on a poster on the first floor of Library West in the FGCU Authors and New Books area.

*Gods & Money *is Professor Brock’s fourth published book of poetry. He has been awarded fellowships for his poetry, including awards from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Alex Haley Foundation. His more recent projects are plays and performances. He is a founding member of the Ghostbird Theatre Company, the resident theatre company of the Sidney & Berne Davis Arts Center in downtown Fort Myers. Professor Brock has taught at FGCU since 1998.

Each month a recent book authored by FGCU staff or faculty is selected and placed on display with an accompanying poster on the first floor of Library West in the FGCU Authors and New Books area. The author and book are also featured on the Library’s website, news blog, and Facebook page. FGCU faculty and staff are encouraged to notify the relevant subject specialist librarian if they publish a book.
