Art Research is Easy with IBA

Are you struggling to find articles or books on an artist or art object? Your wait is over!

For those "hard-to-find" topics, Proquest's International Bibliography of Art (IBA) is one of the best databases to use.

This database is especially good for specialized research on European and American Art from ancient times to the present and global art since 1945. Full text is not included but may be easily accessed via the Library’s main search box or requested via interlibrary loan. International Bibliography of Art indexes published research from 2008 to the present and is the updated companion to the Bibliography of the History of Art (BHA), which is also accessible via the databases page.

To access the International Bibliography of Art:
Go to
Select “databases”
Select “I” in the A-Z list
Scroll down and select “International Bibliography of Art”
You'll be prompted to enter your FGCU ID number off campus

For assistance using this or any of our other Art databases, please contact the Research Desk or the Education & Arts Librarian, Rachel Cooke.
