Suzanna Henshon, Ph.D.: March 2016 FGCU Author Series Nominee

Congratulations to Dr.Suzanna Henshon, our 33rd honoree in the FGCU Author Series of recently published books authored or edited by FGCU faculty and staff. Dr. Henshon’s book, Andy Lightfoot and the Time Warp, will be featured on the Library website during the month of March and displayed on a poster on the first floor of Library West in the FGCU Authors and New Books area.

Dr. Suzanna Henshon came to Florida Gulf Coast University in the fall of 2005 and has taught creative writing, memoir writing, nature writing, and composition classes. Dr. Henshon has over 300 publications, including sixteen books. Andy Lightfoot and the Time Warp (2014) is her latest book, available as a Kindle eBook. She is also the author of Mystery Science: The Case of the Missing Bicycle (with Diego Patino, 2010), Notes from a Writer (with Valija Rose, 2008), the "Millie" series for children, ten William & Mary Navigator study guides, and two creative writing books published by Prufrock Press. Dr. Henshon has presented at The College of William & Mary, The Sanibel Island Writer's Conference, and Longwood University.

Each month a recent book authored by FGCU staff or faculty is selected and placed on display with an accompanying poster on the first floor of Library West in the FGCU Authors and New Books area. The author and book are also featured on the Library’s website, news blog, and Facebook page. FGCU faculty and staff are encouraged to notify the relevant subject specialist librarian if they publish a book.
