Eunsook Hyun, Ph.D.: February 2017 FGCU Author Series Nominee

Congratulations to Dr. Eunsook Hyun, our 42nd honoree in the FGCU Author Series of recently published books authored or edited by FGCU faculty and staff. Dr. Hyun’s book, Transdisciplinary Interfaces and Innovation in the Life Sciences, will be featured on the Library website during the month of February and displayed on a poster on the first floor of Library West in the FGCU Authors and New Books area.

Dr. Hyun’s over 160 scholarly activities have been published in books, peer-reviewed research articles, conference proceedings, and keynote speeches in various areas. Her books include Transdisciplinary Interfaces and Innovation in the Life Sciences (2014); Teachable Moments: Re-conceptualizing Curricula Understandings - Studies in the Postmodern Theory of Education (2006); and Making Sense of Developmentally and Culturally Appropriate Practice (DCAP) in Early Childhood Education (1998), published by Peter Lang. At present, Dr. Hyun’s scholarship focuses on transdisciplinary curriculum transformation in higher education academic affairs.

Dr. Hyun was one of the FGCU founding faculty members for the establishment of the College of Education. She is currently serving as Dean for the College.

Each month a recent book authored by FGCU staff or faculty is selected and placed on display with an accompanying poster on the first floor of Library West in the FGCU Authors and New Books area. The author and book are also featured on the Library’s website, news blog, and Facebook page. FGCU faculty and staff are encouraged to notify the relevant subject specialist librarian if they publish a book.
