Kevin Aho, Ph.D.: September 2018 FGCU Author Series Nominee

Congratulations to Kevin Aho, Ph.D., our 57th honoree in the FGCU Author Series of recently published books authored or edited by FGCU faculty and staff. Dr. Aho’s book Existential Medicine: Essays on Health and Illness will be featured on the Library’s website during September 2018 and displayed on a poster on the first floor of Library West in the FGCU Authors and New Books area.

Kevin Aho is Professor of Philosophy and Chair of the Department of Communication and Philosophy at Florida Gulf Coast University. He has published widely in the areas of existentialism, phenomenology, hermeneutics, and the philosophy of medicine. He is the author of Existentialism: An Introduction (2014), Heidegger’s Neglect of the Body (2009), and Body Matters: A Phenomenology of Sickness, Disease, and Illness, with James Aho (2008).

Each month a recent book authored by FGCU staff or faculty is selected and placed on display with an accompanying poster on the first floor of Library West in the FGCU Authors and New Books area. The author and book are also featured on the Library’s news blog, Facebook and Instagram pages, and our Twitter feed. FGCU faculty and staff are encouraged to notify the relevant subject specialist librarian if they publish a book.
