David J. Thomas, Ph.D: March 2019 FGCU Author Series Nominee

Congratulations to Dr. David J. Thomas, our 63rd honoree in the FGCU Author Series of recently published books authored or edited by FGCU faculty and staff. Dr. Thomas’s book The State of American Policing: Psychology, Behavior, Problems, and Solutions (http://fgcu.catalog.fcla.edu/permalink.jsp?25GC036586166) will be featured on the FGCU Library’s digital media channels during March 2019 and displayed on a poster on the first floor of Library West in the FGCU Authors and New Books area.

David J. Thomas, Ph.D., LMHC is a professor of forensic studies at Florida Gulf Coast University in Ft. Myers, FL. He is the author of: The State of American Policing: Psychology, Behavior, Problems, and Solutions; Understanding Violent Criminals: Insight From the Front Lines of Law Enforcement; Police Psychology: A New Specialty and New Challenges for Men and Women in Blue; and Professionalism in Policing: An Introduction. Throughout the year, a recent book authored by FGCU staff or faculty is selected and recognized in a variety of ways. FGCU faculty and staff are encouraged to notify the relevant subject specialist librarian if they publish a book.
