Jim Gustafson, M.Div., MFA: August 2019 FGCU Author Series Nominee

Congratulations to Jim Gustafson, M.Div., MFA, our 66th honoree in the FGCU Author Series of recently published books authored or edited by FGCU faculty and staff. Mr. Gustafson’s book Unassisted Living (http://fgcu.catalog.fcla.edu/permalink.jsp?25GC036924187) will be featured on the FGCU Library’s digital media channels during August 2019 and displayed on a poster on the first floor of Library West in the FGCU Authors and New Books area.

Jim Gustafson holds a M. Div. from Garrett Theological Seminary at Northwestern University in his home town of Evanston, Illinois and an MFA from the University of Tampa. He is the author of Take Fun Seriously (Limitless Press, 2008), Driving Home (Aldrich Press, 2013), Unassisted Living (Big Table, 2017), and Friar Fred’s Diary (Big Table, 2017). He teaches at Florida Gulf Coast University. Jim and his wife Connie live in Fort Myers, Florida where he reads, writes, and pulls weeds.

Throughout the year, a recent book authored by FGCU staff or faculty is selected and recognized in a variety of ways. FGCU faculty and staff are encouraged to notify the relevant subject specialist librarian if they publish a book.
